Aisling Bea

Aisling is an Irish-born comedian who has been around for quite a while. Born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. She's appeared on QI with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known by her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. Bea first began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011, following small parts she played on Irish and British television dramas from 2009. Following 2012, she was being featured in sketch comedy programs or sitcoms as well as other similar programming. After her victory at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was scheduled for a range of panel shows. In 2016 and 2017 she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born in the family of Brian O'Sullivan, the actress has one sister called Sinead. In 2012, she was awarded the So You Think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea, her maiden name, is a tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan, born Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet, who was killed at the age of three when Bea turned three, was the suicide victim. The news of his suicide only after the age of thirteen. In 2017, she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and took on the stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) was raised in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a educator and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. They were obsessed with race meetings as well as horses. Bea was initially an official guide for tourists at the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her love was acting, not racing.
